AG Sunderland Cup

This tournament is played on 3 Sundays in the season between teams that are present on the day.

NEW ENTRANCE RULES AMENDED AT YCA AGM THIS YEAR

No player junior or adult will be allowed to enter if their grade is greater than 100 (using YCA old grades as per new Yearbook). If in doubt about grades contact the organisers below.

No adult player without a YCA or ECF grade will be permitted to enter without proof of playing standard being below that equivalent to a 100 grade and permission to play must be sought and given by the Organisers 5 days before the event.

Rules of competition

* A team can consist of ANY NUMBER of players.(Anyone can play for any team or even switch teams from tournament to tournament; lone players will be allocated to teams)
* All players will play in a SWISS TOURNAMENT of 3 rounds ( but no players from the same team will play each other) – where possible players of a similar playing strength will be drawn against each other.
* Each player has 30 minutes per game.
* At the end of round 3 the scores of the BEST 5 PLAYERS from a team (or all the players if 5 or less) will add up to a final score. (Max. score is 5x 3 = 15.) Best score /15 wins.

Scores over all 3 tournaments count for league at end of season.

Registration at 1.30. First round 2.15.
Finish at 5.45 (prizes given out as soon after last round finishes as possible.)

(Refreshments will be on sale but please bring a packed lunch)  

  

Entry fee: £2.00 per player – collected from individual players or club captain on day. 

Any profits go to the YJCA Funds. Entry fee is to cover cost of Hall.

Entries are allowed on the day.
